Hermes Agent

Hermes Agent is an open-source agent from Nous Research. It connects to MAG as a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint.

Agents make many model calls. Usage counts against the allocation of your project. Check your spend on the MAG Dashboard.

1. Set the PAT variable​

Make sure the environment variable AMSC_TOKEN contains your PAT. See Step 4.

2. Configure the endpoint​

Add this to the file ~/.hermes/config.yaml:

Hermes replaces ${AMSC_TOKEN} with the value of the variable. Do not write the PAT in this file.

The setting key_env and the variable OPENAI_API_KEY do not set the key for a custom endpoint in this version of Hermes. Use api_key.

3. Start Hermes​

hermes

To send one prompt and exit, use hermes chat -q "your prompt".
